affected residents in Belmore Road be consulted with the proposal to upgrade
the existing school crossing in Belmore Road outside 82 Belmore Road,
Peakhurst to a raised pedestrian crossing.
THAT the outcome
of the resident consultation be reported back to the Traffic Advisory
Committee for consideration.
FURTHER THAT
Councillor Mining and the school crossing supervisor be advised of
Council’s decision.

Road Kingsgrove - Proposal to Construct a Median Island at Patterson Avenue

THAT this Committee write to Mr Chris Minns, MP, Member
for Kogarah advising that Hurstville City Council has exhausted all possible
options to reduce traffic congestion along Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove.
Additionally, Mr Minns be requested to make representations to Rockdale City
Council requesting to remove kerbside parking along the eastern side of
Kingsgrove Road between Shaw Street and The Avenue to improve traffic flow
along Kingsgrove Road, noting that abundant public parking is available at
the Kingsgrove RSL Club (Council car park) and in Morgan Street, Kingsgrove
for customers of the shops in Kingsgrove.
FURTHER THAT Rockdale City Council and Mr Chris Minns,
MP, Member for Kogarah be advised of Council’s decision.

Street Riverwood - Request to Block Three Car Parking Spaces for the 2015

THAT the Riverwood Sub-Branch of Australian Legion of Ex-Servicemen
& Women's request to temporarily reserve three (3) car parking spaces in
Littleton Street, Riverwood outside the Riverwood Legion & Community Club
for the Remembrance Day Service on Wednesday, the 11 November, 2015 be
approved.
THAT the standard fees and charges as per Council’s 2015-2016
Schedule of Fees & Charges be waived for the proposed occupation of
Littleton Street, Riverwood on Wednesday, the 11 November, 2015.
THAT the Acting Director of Service Delivery be given the delegated
authority to approve occupation of three parking spaces in Littleton Street,
Riverwood.
FURTHER THAT Secretary of Australian Legion of Ex-Serviceman &
Women Riverwood Sub-Branch be notified of Council’s decision.

existing Bus Stops on both sides of Mercury Street at the corner of Edgbaston
Road, Beverly Hills be zoned as Bus Zones in accordance with the signage
design approved for the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Mercury
Street and Edgbaston Road, Beverly Hills.
THAT the
existing Bus Seat and Post Box along the western side of Mercury Street,
Beverly Hills be relocated to be within the Bus Zone.
FURTHER THAT
Australia Post and Punchbowl Buses be advised of Council’s decision.

installed outside 325 Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove for a period of 6-months
(until construction works of the building adjacent to existing Bus Zone is
completed).
THAT Sydney Buses
be requested to consult the affected residents prior to the installation of the
temporary Bus Zone.
FURTHER THAT the Sydney Buses be
advised of Council’s decision.
